Arash Posted June 21, 2016 (edited) I know Wachi, caz the majority of people in the US (like all the other countries) do not have the ability of thinking independently. If these crap media were more fair, many of those ppl would vote for him. But when their coverage is trump-trump-hillary-trump-hillary what would you expect from those ppl who only think and repeat what they see and hear on media? Brendon Posted June 22, 2016 Klaathax, I am going to have to disagree with you on the fact that Trump isn't a racist. And here are a few reasons as to why, these are not exact quotes due to the fact that I haven't memorized them, but they are things he has said. "Ban all Muslims coming into the United States" "The fact that my judge is Mexican for the Trump University case makes it unfair" And many more, look up on google his actual racist quotes word for word, you would probably get some video compilations as well. As for Socialism and where it falls, in most cases, if you are a Socialist you are a Democrat. If you are not a Socialist then you are a Republican. If you watch Fox at all they constantly knocked Bernie for being a Socialist and saying that it isn't what America needs, which is true in some aspect. America needs to reform the big spending that happens in our government, like Social Security, Disability, unemployment, etc. People are abusing the system staying at home collecting unemployment and disability when they can in fact work and they are just as capable as anyone else. Same as SS. Everyone needs to be audited and find out exactly what they need and don't need, then send them back into the workplace if they are able.
klaathax Posted June 22, 2016 Hi Brendon, Take a look at what Trump says when he disagrees with anyone. He attacks anyone and everyone regardless or race, religion or sexual preference, IF they disagree with him. In the same way he will welcome anyone who agrees with him regardless of race, religion or sexual preference. The thing about Trump is that he is an equal opportunity "asshole". He certainly is not politically correct in his responses to anyone.
Honeybunny Posted June 22, 2016 Trump is using a combination of prejudices, fear, and car-crash-morbid curiosity to capture America's attention. He is the inevitable manifestation of everything wrong with our culture/politics: 1) that someone can buy an election if they have enough money and influence, and 2) that the media is biased towards sensationalism over substance, which is easily exploitable. I would love a candidate who is a political outsider. But the one we have has all the same flaws as the worst career politician you could find, minus any experience actually governing. I would love a candidate that stirs the pot and sparks interesting debates. But the "debate" we have instead is lies about building walls and banning Muslims to scapegoat for our actual problems. My hope is that this will teach the media to avoid creating more Trumps in the future. This video illustrates well how full of shit this guy is: https://www.good.is/infographics/causes-of-mass-gun-violence
klaathax Posted June 22, 2016 Some interesting facts on guns in the U.S. http://www.gunfacts.info/gun-control-myths/crime-and-guns/ There are a lot of things I do not like about Trump, especially the Muslim comments, but as far as buying the election, here is a little bit about who has spent what so far. http://www.politico.com/story/2016/03/donald-trump-fundraising-221030
Brendon Posted June 23, 2016 There are a lot of things I do not like about Trump, especially the Muslim comments, but as far as buying the election, here is a little bit about who has spent what so far. You do know that Muslim is a religion right? And you are saying that he isn't a racist or against religion, yet he says something like this. And by Muslims, he isn't talking about the religion, he is talking about terrorists. As if they are a race of people, so ban all of the "Terrorists" and/or "Muslims" from this country which would be considered racist because these terrorists and Muslims are a certain type of race. Honeybunny pretty much just summed it up for Trump, he is the outcome of today's society and media. Plus, when anyone has a good chunk of change in their pocket then there is nothing he cannot do. Like I've always said, even if there was a monkey standing in Donald Trump's place, all of the radical people that support him would still support the monkey. Besides that point, look at everything he says... He never ever talks about how he is going to fix the economy or our immigration or our foreign policy problems... He only talks about "Crooked Hillary" and anyone else that doesn't like him, as if he is from the eighth grade calling people names. He is a rambunctious person that wasn't raised like the other Republicans either and that's why they don't like him.
SixSixSix Posted June 23, 2016 If you guys manage to keep this civil, major hats off to all of you. I haven't gone through this yet due to the nature of the post. I just wanted to say, Gary Johnson for president.
Brendon Posted June 23, 2016 Well, both of the head admins like politics I am guessing due to their contributions already. So I think we are good. Haha.
klaathax Posted June 23, 2016 Yes I do know that Muslim is a religion, I have 2 young men from Pakistan, both very devout Muslim's. We talk quite a bit about our religions. They have stayed at my house before and we remain good friends as we continue to work together on projects. As I said that is one of things I dislike most that Trump has said. The most important thing that a president does, is appoint judges. Everyone knows the judges that Clinton will appoint and that is not good for us or our children. Sometimes it is hard to keep political conversations civil, but we can here. There are so many different life circumstances that form a persons opinion, that doesn't make anyone a bad person for feeling the way they do about a politician, just coming from a different points of view.
