asq[2g] Posted March 8, 2013 Well guys... Even though many people here would not be interested in this thread but I just wanted to get the word across on the "dark" side of bodybuilding and how it has changed my view of this industry.. So basically Gay4Pay is a word which describes the "sub branch or extra-innitiative" so to speak in bodybuilding where people gain sponsorships and extra financial aid by 'selling' themselves to Gay men on the internet via skype, and other social media services... Recently Youtube fitness guy Matt Ogus from his channel 'flexforall' released a video of how he sold himself to gay men to pay his college bills when he first started back in '08 all the way to '11.. He did gay poses in tights and other activities to arouse gay men and pay for money.... This to me was really disturbing, because I viewed Matt as a role model and he basically let me, and all of his subscribers and fans down. Even though he has stopped now it still is pretty fucking disturbing.. Current Mr.Olympia Phil Heath sold himself to gay men for "sessions" and also many other Mr.Olympia's before him. What are your views on Gay4Pay and how this affects the bodybuilding industry? And to anyone who wanted to go into sponsorships or competing .. Any second thoughts? I know I would get many gay comments... But really, would you go to extremes like these to be successful in what you want to do in the future?
Guest toothyy Posted March 8, 2013 I don't know jack about bodybuilding but this is what I think. If the guy is posing for women then everyone would think that's completely fine, right? Why is he looked down upon? Because he posed for men? Again, I don't know anything about bodybuilding but what can you do other than pose / commercials / teach? honestly don't see anything wrong with this. are people going to label bodybuilding as a bunch of ripped men posing for other men? I don't think so. but as they say, business is business bro…
Guest kitkat Posted March 8, 2013 They are just posing right? That's the same as strippers and playmates making their way through school. If they are committing prostitution then that's a big no no. --Edit-- Just adding on here... However it's not exactly bad from what they are doing, I do view it as a degrading act. It sucks to look up to someone who has stooped so low.. But was that their only option?

SanguinaryScientist Posted March 8, 2013 Well that's like all thoes commercials with ripped men posing for speedos, and getting paid for it It's just that instead of going to everyone it's just going to gay men, and they're paying them to do it I see no problem here, sorry bro

Claymore Posted March 8, 2013 Well this country is all about moneymaking, so... If you can make a good money - who cares? And why a "no,no" for prostitution? Its a good way to make money too, and its legal. Oh I'm sorry not prostitution but "escort service". Sorry for calling it wrong way. In US prostitutes like customers to call them "escorts", cause "prostitute" sounds too offensive and its officially illegal, but actually everybody knows that you can get a girl on backpage in couple minutes. Both of those can be considered as "selling you body to others".
