Y intercept is when x = 0... so basically your answer should look like this.

y + 3 = -1/3x

y = -3 -(1/3 * 0)

y = -3 -0

y= -3

So therefore your y - intercept is (0, -3)

And for the slope... use the formula y = mx + b

Convert y + 3 = -1/3x into standard form which is y = mx+c ; where 'm' is the slope of your line.

So it should look like this ..

y + 3 = -1/3x

y = -1/3x -3

Therefore, -1/3 is = your 'm' value .... so the slope of your line is -1/3

My math teacher told me about this, at that time it was 5 searches limited or you had to get a membership. When I bought an Iphone, I bought the app for $5 and now I use it for Biology, Calculus, Chemistry, Astronomy type of questions. You can also search up funny shit on it like: Justin Bieber's head, Size of Normal Human's Penis (just an example :P)
